How to Celebrate a Fall Birthday!

Start with the Invites

Every birthday celebration starts with the guest list. First you’ll want to figure out if you want a small family party or a large birthday celebration. Plus, there are a few important factors to consider when deciding the size. How many people can comfortably fit in your living space (if it’s warm enough, hosting the party outside could increase your space). How much do you want to spend on this party (remember, the more guests, the more food you have to provide!)? What will guests be doing when they get there – will the activities you have planned inhibit the space available?

Once you figure out the size, you can work on who you’ll invite. Remember, this is YOUR birthday party – you should be able to invite ONLY the people you actually want (but when it comes to family, all bets are off!). Be considerate of the personalities of your potential guests – make sure everyone who comes would enjoy being together and most importantly help you celebrate your Fall birthday!

Party Activities

What do you want you and your guests to do to keep them entertained? Your Fall birthday provides the perfect theme: autumn! When it’s time to carve and decorate pumpkins, age is not a factor – everyone loves it! Buy a pumpkin for each guest who RSVPed yes, but remember to buy a few extra for those who come unannounced (it’s always nice to have a backup too). Set up a table for carving and decorating. Up the ante and offer prizes for the most creative, best execution, funniest, and maybe even a last place prize if your group can laugh at themselves.

Party Tunes

Create or find a playlist for your party that everyone will enjoy. Music can take a “gathering” and turn it into a “party” in no time! If you are having a Halloween themed birthday party, crank up the Halloween tunes! Bust out some classics that will bring your guests back in time. The Monster Mash is an instant crowd-pleaser, and no Halloween party would be complete without Michael Jackson’s Thriller – you may even spark a dance party with that one!

Spooky Good Eats

Every birthday party needs some yummy food! You can always stick with party classics such as pizza, chicken nuggets, chips, etc., but if you’re really looking to WOW your guests, try something new. Head on to Pinterest and pick out a recipe that looks fun, delicious, but also easy to execute – remember you don’t want your whole day consumed by trying to concoct a dish. If you’re sticking to a Halloween theme, make some witch finger cookies, Spaghetti & Eyeballs, or hot dog mummies! If you know that someone attending has a food allergy, make sure you have some food options for them as well!

Sweet Dessert

Some of Fall’s most popular treats are salted caramel and apples! Why make a mess in your kitchen, and force your guests to try to eat a sticky caramel apple? We have the next-level solution to the sticky mess that used to be associated with the caramel apple! Our Fresh Chocolate Caramel Covered Apples are perfect for any celebration! They are incredibly easy to eat, and, best of all, one apple can be shared by multiple people with none of the mess of a typical caramel apple. We have so many different delicious flavors that everyone will LOVE!
