With the weather getting warmer and your summer social calendar filling up, it’s time to get grilling! 4 – Bacon Wrapped Grilled Peaches with Balsamic Glaze

If it’s wrapped in bacon, you can’t go wrong, right? Case in point – these grilled peaches wrapped in bacon are INCREDIBLE. The combination of the salty bacon and the sweet, juicy peach is mouthwatering! Drizzled in a balsamic glaze, your taste buds will be wanting more all summer long.

“Salty bacon amps up the sweetness of local peaches at their peak freshness and the thick balsamic drizzle gives another touch of tart and sweet. Nestle 2 fresh basil leaves to the sides of the peach, then pin the bacon so the toothpicks lay flat across the side of the peach and cover the spread of the bacon slices. This makes for easiest turning on the grill. Basil leaves wrapped in the bacon alongside the peaches add an herbed flavor and a perk of color. All grills cook at different times depending on your BTUs. I set my grill to low to cook these guys so that the bacon didn’t burn and the peaches had plenty of time to soften and caramelize. You should be able to hold your hand above the grill grates for 8 to 10 seconds and you’ll be good.”

5 – Grilled Pears with Cinnamon Drizzle

The softness of grilled pears drizzled with cinnamon honey make this recipe a fresh way to satisfy your sweet tooth. Chopped pecans add a delicious crunchiness to top off this delectable summer treat.

“Turn burn grillers to low and preheat to between 350-400 F (if you don’t have a grill, a grill pan will also work!). Next, cut the pears in half removing any visible seeds, leaving stems. Brush pears with refined coconut oil, sprinkle with sea salt and place on grill at an angle flesh side down. Then, cook pears on covered grill for 15 minutes and check to see if the pears have softened and if the pears have a solid grill mark. If they do not, continue to cook, covered and check every 5 to 10 minutes. Turn pears on an angle to create another grill mark (this is how you get a criss cross pattern) and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes. In a small bowl combine 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon cinnamon and mix well. Finally, let pears rest for a bit after cooking, when they are warm but not HOT, drizzle cinnamon honey over them and top with chopped pecans. Sprinkle with maldon salt. Serve immediately!”
