Who is Layla’s Delicacies?
Like most great companies, Layla’s Delicacies started around the kitchen table. In 2017, the team started making classic Tunisian treats for friends and family. With some spurring from friends (and a few paying customers), Layla’s Delicacies was officially launched as a business in 2018. However, the journey really started with a love of their Tunisian culture. Without the ability to find authentic Tunisian pastries, they took the matter into their own hands. The response from friends and family was overwhelmingly positive.
“That’s when the idea of Layla’s Delicacies came to our minds. Layla is our daughter. She loves baking. This business is our way of keeping that love alive and keeping her connected with the Tunisian tradition of sharing sweets with the people you love.”
The success continued as the team soon needed more space and moved to their own facility in New Jersey (but continues to ship nationwide).
